The procedure

When logged in click the ACCOUNT button in the main menu bar and then click the DEPOSIT option in the sub-menu bar.

There are several choices allowing you to select the deposit mechanism to suit you.

Simply click on your payment choices and PRINT the final instruction.

Use the printed copy to instruct your bank. This might be possible on-line or by FAX, or require a visit by you to the branch. It depends on your relationship with your bank.

What happens next ?

Your bank will probably require you to go through normal identification procedures before transmitting money. Be prepared with the appropriate proof of identity - whether password (on-line), passport, etc. Obviously you know better than we do how well your bank knows you.
Depending on your chosen deposit mechanism your bank may also charge you a fee. Usually for on-line 'pay a bill' style transactions banks do not charge, but with these there can be a delay in funds clearing at BullionVault. For SWIFT transfers we believe $20-$30 is appropriate, and cleared funds are usually received faster.
Our bank - Lloyds TSB - notifies us in an electronic mailbox as soon as we receive your money. We check that mailbox every two hours during normal European business hours.
We notify you by email when your money clears. Allow 36 hours for SWIFT or 3-5 days for on-line or low-speed transfers. Contact us if you do not see your money credited within these times.
Watch out for time-zones. The further west you are (e.g. California) the more likely your funds will require an extra day to reach us. But you get this back in the end as we can send you funds more reliably on the same day when you withdraw them.
Allow an extra day for holidays. London bank holidays are reasonably predictable. They are on 25/26 December, 1 January, Easter Friday and Monday, approximately the first and last Mondays in May and the last Monday in August.
Remember to verify your identity within 2 weeks of funding your account.
